VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM have traded accusations over the decoupling decision.
According to the former, the latter, as well as DUI, are to blame for the issues on the EU path because of problems they created, during their time in power, in numerous areas.
“VMRO-DPMNE will work exclusively on genuine values and in the interest of Macedonian citizens,” the ruling party said.
On the other hand, SDSM said only PM Hristijan Mickoski and his party, VMRO-DPMNE, were to blame for the “severe” diplomatic defeat.
“They’re deciding to unilaterally stop EU negotiations. Today could have been a day when all parties and citizens would unite over the hope for a better future. They’ve stripped the country and its citizens off that,” Venko Filipce’s party pointed out.
