Deputy Minister Isaki, not Osmani, in Brussels for Meeting Chaired by Borrell

The topic at the EU-Western Balkans meeting that will be held today in Brussels and chaired by Josep Borrell, to which foreign ministers from the region have been invited is related to Middle East and Ukraine developments, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said in Skopje, before the meeting.

“In that area, the Ministry’s stand is clear,” he noted.

Osmani said he wouldn’t participate in the event in Brussels due to the important meetings in the frames of North Macedonia’s OSCE Chairpersonship-in-Office taking place in Skopje. Deputy Foreign Minister Fatmire Isaki will be part of the meeting in Brussels, Osmani stated.

Borrell said on X (formerly Twitter): “We want to advance the integration of the region into our decision making, including on foreign & security policy – already before accession. The place of the WBs is in the EU.”
