Deputy PM Mexhiti Says Dauti will Continue to Chair Committee

On Monday, VLEN co-leader and 1^st Deputy PM Izet Mexhiti commented on the Ilire Dauti situation, saying the European Front MP would continue to head the Social Policy Committee.

“Perhaps we have a lot of remarks about her, but when there is an initiative from Levica, we are against. That is why we will support her”, he stressed.

Regarding the unsuccessful motions of the Front against him, Interior Minister Pance Toskovski, Deputy Interior Minister Astrit Iseni, and Deputy PM and Intercommunity Relations Minister Ivan Stoilkovic, the 1^st Deputy PM stated that they had been the worst in Parliament’s history.

“Filing a motions initiative and only three MPs ultimately voting for them shows we have support within the Front and even within DUI. A lot of people there think like us”, he stressed, adding that VLEN’s door was open for those people to join the coalition.
