Detention Measure against Two People in Case of Marijuana Seized in Serbia

Over the case of five tons of marijuana seized in Serbia, North Macedonia’s Criminal Court has issued a 48-hour detention measure against two suspects. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, there is grounded suspicion that they are involved in the case.

As it explained on Wednesday, in such procedures, especially when it’s about cases with greater complexity, as well as ones of international nature, deadlines are often limited, which justifies the application of the measure.

The same day, PM Mickoski called for patience, saying that the Interior Ministry would provide information when the time for that came. He also said new aspects were being opened, including in relation to the number of involved people.
