Head of the Bulgarian Team in the Macedonian-Bulgarian Committee on historical Affairs Angel Dimitrov said on Monday that there is no significant progress in the work of the Committee. His statement is quite different from the one of Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov from few days ago when he spoke of great progress in the work of this Committee. “Our first meeting for 2022 coincided with the start of the Russian invasion over Ukraine, so it was not very clear whether and what we achieved, but I can say that the meeting was not that much impressive. We only managed to bring our positions closer when it comes to the depiction of the historical period concerning the life of Tsar Samuel, but this is still just a mere proposal accepted by the team from North Macedonia, and we do not know whether and in how much time it will be adopted,” Dimitrov said.
