On Sunday, commenting on the U.S. operation capturing the now-former Venezuelan President Maduro, PM Mickoski said the government absolutely stood by the moves and arguments of “our strategic partner”, the U.S.
Asked why Macedonia had immediately supported the capture considering part of European countries had described the attack as a violation of international law, he said those same countries had been silent during the violations of international law against his country.
In that regard, he said the changes related Macedonia’s flag to enable it to join the UN, the Constitution, and the name were the precedents.
Previously, on social media, Foreign Minister Mucunski, too, had expressed support for the operation capturing Maduro.
“Accountability matters. We stand with the United States and the Venezuelan people for freedom and democracy”, he pointed out in the tweet.
