Regarding the local elections, DUI’s Ademi said that VMRO-DPMNE was the winner in municipalities with a predominantly ethnic Albanian population.
“This is not political rhetoric. This is electoral math and a fact that can be verified at every polling station”, he added.
In that regard, Ademi said VLEN’s only role in the local polls had been to serve VMRO-DPMNE’s plan. Also, he stated that it had thus damaged democracy and political organization of Albanians in North Macedonia.
DUI’s stand is that though it failed to win some mayoral races, the coalition led by it won the majority of ethnic Albanian votes at a national level.
Ademi stated that that was a moral and political mandate that put the party under the obligation to, in the frames of its Congress, expected to be held by December 20, reorganize, renew its structures in line with citizen expectations, and strengthen its ties with citizens even more.
Regarding the decision by ex-Justice Minister Lloga to leave politics, DUI considers that to be an internal matter of the Alliance for Albanians wing headed by Sela.
