“There are violations of the law and there needs to be accountability,” Deputy PM for Good Governance Policies Slavica Grkovska said on Wednesday regarding the case of the returned money to DUI’s donor, Eurovia.
The Deputy PM expects the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) to determine whether there was influence peddling. Grkovska announced that accountability would be sought for the untimely controls in the case concerning the missed deadline for the return of the money.
The SCPC said a case had been opened over Eurovia and the 1.8-million-euro tender for readaptation of the Boris Trajkovski sports centre. The same day, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said he was shocked by the information that a company that was a DUI donor won state tenders and was a Bechtel and ENKA subcontractor for the Corridors VIII and X-d.
