Documentation concerning the establishment of a joint company with a foreign partner, decisions by the Government, as well as financial transactions related to the procurement of video lottery terminals, were part of the material evidence presented by the Prosecutor’s Office at Wednesday’s hearing in the trial over the State Lottery case.
Prosecutors said the evidence pertained to the individual competence held by each defendant in the case. As they explained, in the subsequent stage of the proceedings, the current director of the State Lottery, Aleksandar Klimovski, will also appear as a witness for the Office.
However, the defense believes that the presentation of the evidence showed that the indictment was confusing and that the defendants did not commit a crime. U.S.-blacklisted Former DPM Grubi is among those on trial in the case.
