Ex-Minister Aliu to Stay with VLEN, Fetai Leaves Taravari, too

Former minister Azir Aliu has said he will stay with VLEN, that is, he will not be part of Arben Taravari’s Alliance for Albanians wing. As he pointed out, one shouldn’t leave the fight against corruption and changes in society at the first hurdle.

Aliu’s stand is that leaving the cabinet at the current moment may lead to “rehabilitation” of old structures of DUI. Deputy PM for Good Governance Arben Fetai is leaving Taravari too. As he said on Sunday, there is no going back, while a comeback of DUI “like nothing happened” will not be allowed.

“Alliance remains loyal to the ideals and path that never goes through Ali Ahmeti”, he stated, adding that the voice of the wing’s membership was clear and directed at justice and a clean road.
