Filipce again Levels Allegations over Particisation of Judiciary

At Wednesday’s press-conference, SDSM leader Venko Filipce said that since the start of the term of the Hristijan Mickoski-led government, particisation had taken on epidemic proportions.

“All new judges elected since Hristijan Mickoski came to power were chosen by him personally. Cousins, partners, or spouses of mayors from the ranks of VMRO-DPMNE have become judges. People with VMRO-DPMNE membership cards have been elected to the Council for Civilian Oversight of Wiretapping”, he stressed.

Filipce also criticised the statements made the previous day by the PM about plans for the Judicial Council after the holidays.

“Yesterday’s announcement that the government planned to disband the Council, that is, to dismiss five members is a step towards full control of the judiciary. SDSM will not allow this”, he underlined.
