SDSM leader Venko Filipce announced that his party will finalise by the end of this week the resolution that he claims will contain the red lines of North Macedonia in the process of accession in the EU.
“I understand the concern of the citizens who oppose the French proposal, but that is a demand that is coming from the EU now, and for us the worst thing would be if we do nothing. This is why I believe that all political leaders should meet and determine all the things that need to be formalised in this process, or maybe even cited from previous resolutions, declarations and other documents. I also firmly believe that not a single document in this process so far has endangered the national interests, but still we cannot leave the concern of the citizens unattended”, Filipce said.
PM Hristijan Mickoski in meantime said that once the draft-resolution is complete, VMRO-DPMNE would like to take a look at it, and even have an own input in it. He also voiced reserve, saying that SDSM proposed several other similar documents in the past but later did not respect them.
