On Thursday, in an interview with Sitel, SDSM leader Venko Filipce said that despite VMRO-DPMNE’s allegations, his party’s campaign had been fair and honest. In his view, VMRO-DPMNE’s making accusations because it is not able to talk about projects since it hasn’t implemented any.
“As you are seeing yourselves in those promotional videos, we’re not saying anything. They are. Those are promises of theirs of which nearly 100% haven’t been fulfilled. Sorry, but it’s an obligation of ours to inform citizens about that. That’s not a dark campaign at all”, the SDSM leader stressed.
According to the opposition party’s leader, neither pensioners nor workers nor doctors nor teachers nor farmers have seen a benefit from the work of the central government since the start of its term in 2024.
The same day, at a campaign event of his party in Butel, Filipce stated that though VMRO-DPMNE was promising in the 2021 local and 2024 double elections that there would be a new future and “proud Macedonia”, there’d been neither a future nor pride of the situation in the country.
