On Thursday, SDSM leader Filipche called for, as he said, an urgent reaction from the Prosecutor’s Office and the Interior Ministry regarding the incident in Novo Selo, Strumica region. According to SDSM, young activists of the party were attacked by supporters and members of VMRO-DPMNE on Wednesday.
The incident, SDSM alleged, occurred during a guerrilla action, i.e., while the young activists were displaying a banner supporting citizens of Gostivar regarding the water case.
At that moment, PM Mickoski and Transport Minister Nikoloski were scheduled to attend as guests at the local school. Police told 24 TV that no report regarding the incident had been filed by late afternoon.
On the other hand, VMRO-DPMNE refuted SDSM’s accusations, describing them as false and manipulative.
