Filipche Claims VMRO-DPMNE & DUI Have Election Deal, Slams Data Centers

SDSM leader Filipche said on Wednesday that there was an agreement between VMRO-DPMNE and DUI to create conditions for calling early parliamentary elections by blocking the work of Parliament. According to him, SDSM received the information several days ago. A potential institutional blockade would be used as an alibi for elections, Filipche assessed.

The SDSM leader reiterated his criticism of the Government also in relation to the issue of data centers. In that regard, he stated that the Mickoski-headed cabinet was pushing the construction of such facilities non-transparently and “under the radar” even though they could pose serious risks to water resources, agriculture, and electricity prices. Filipche pointed out that such centers consumed vast quantities of water, which was subsequently heated.

Asked about ex-PM Kovachevski’s support for the construction of data centers through the Facebook post, Filipche said it didn’t signify a rift, but rather it meant there was democracy within SDSM.
