The Ministry of Finance has adopted a new Rulebook that tightens the conditions and oversight for issuing licenses to organize games of chance.
The document establishes the criteria and required documentation for verifying the reputation, integrity, and source of funds of legal entities and natural persons applying for licenses for casinos, betting shops, slot clubs, or closed-type tombolas. Under the new rules, applicants have to submit documentation proving they meet the good repute requirements.
Checks will be conducted to determine whether individuals have been subjected to penalties banning the practice of a profession, prohibitions on organizing games of chance, or other measures relevant to their participation in the activity. Particular attention is paid to the origin of the funds invested in the core capital.
