Foreign Minister Osmani Participates in Transatlantic Working Dinner

Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, upon an invitation from US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, participated in the Transatlantic Working Dinner held in the frames of the 78th UN General Assembly.

Counterparts of Osmani from NATO members participated as well, as did the alliance’s Secretary-General, Jens Stoltenberg. The meeting focused on the current challenges facing the Transatlantic community, especially in the context of the consequences of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

There was also a discussion on the priorities for action with regards to Transatlantic relations, as well as on the significant decisions made in Vilnius for the future of the Alliance. In his address, Osmani reaffirmed North Macedonia’s full support for Ukraine.

In addition, he said the unconditional support for the Ukrainian people had once again been highlighted with the A5’s adoption of the Joint Statement.

“The Minister also discussed the current situation in our region and need for integration of Western Balkan countries in the Euro-Atlantic structures as a significant stake in regional and European stability,” North Macedonia’s Foreign Ministry added in the press-release.
