Foreign Ministry Hands Note of Protest to Russian Ambassador Bazdnikin

On Friday, North Macedonia’s Foreign Ministry handed a note of protest to Russian Ambassador Sergey Bazdnikin over the material damage caused to the Embassy in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s attack on Kyiv.

The Ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Ministry, where he was handed the note expressing strong condemnation of the attack. The building is also home to the Embassies of Albania, Argentina, Palestine, Montenegro, and Portugal.

European Commission Spokesperson Anita Hipper said the attack showed again that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “criminal nature” posed danger to Ukraine, the EU, and “our overall security”.
