Former Mayor Jakimovski Says He still hasn’t Received Verdict in Writing

Regarding the ruling in the unlawful construction case, former Karposh Mayor Jakimovski says though he’s received the notice ordering him to report to prison, he is yet to get the actual verdict in writing.

He explains that it is causing a delay in terms of him filing an appeal before the Supreme Court. According to him, the fact that he still hasn’t received the verdict is also a result of the pressure being exerted by the Mickoski-headed Government.

According to the notice, Jakimovski will have to report to the Shuto Orizari prison on July 2. The former Mayor believes the verdict specifically aims to prevent him from running for a new term in Karposh because, in his view, early local elections will be held soon due to the ongoing sick leave and absence of the Mayor Lukrovski.

Jakimovski has already submitted an official request to postpone the execution of his prison sentence, citing health problems.
