A gathering was organised on Tuesday in Skopje marking six months since the Kocani nightclub fire. The gathering started at 8:16 pm.
“For six months, there’s been institutional silence over this huge tragedy in which 62 young people lost their life. We’re here to remind institutions that they should do their job and that starting from tomorrow, we will no longer be silent. Today, this silence is filled not only with sorrow, but also with anger due to their inaction”, the organizers said.
Earlier that day, a new March of Angels had been held in Kocani, too, where parents again stated that they were again demanding accountability for everyone that had allowed the tragedy to happen.
