Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry has said an unknown person “committed an attack” against the Bulgarian Embassy in Skopje on Sunday.
According to its photos, it’s about a broken glass part of the entrance door. Security cameras documented the incident. A video has been posted online by the Skopje1 portal.
The Ministry said in Sunday’s press release the act was a result of the systemic lack of reactions by relevant institutions in North Macedonia during previous attacks and acts of vandalism against facilities related to Bulgaria and the Bulgarian community.
Bulgaria called for a swift and efficient investigation, as well as guarantees over the safety of the mission. North Macedonia’s Interior Ministry stated that it was taking measures to identify the perpetrator, while the country’s Foreign Ministry condemned the incident.
