According to Foreign Minister Mucunski, North Macedonia adheres to the stance that clear guarantees are needed ensuring that historical, identity, and cultural issues, and language will not be part of the EU negotiation process. On Monday, he also said guarantees were needed regarding the enforcement of European Court of Human Rights rulings by Bulgaria as well. Mucunski, for now, is not seeing positive signals from Bulgaria.
The same day, VMRO-DPMNE, too, again said “Macedonia’s positions” wouldn’t change at all until there were clear and solid guarantees in writing by the EU in the form of conclusions.
