The Government continues to seek solutions to the issue of limitations concerning length of stay for North Macedonia professional drivers in the Schengen area by concluding bilateral agreements with member states, according to DPM and Transport Minister Nikoloski.
On Monday, he pointed out that the country had already reached agreements with some nations, as well as that talks with other states would continue in the coming period to secure greater coverage along the routes most frequently used by domestic transporters. According to him, agreements are already in place with Switzerland, Croatia, and Romania, while efforts are underway to reach agreements with other countries as well.
A high-level meeting with the Austrian Government is foreseen for September, as well as with the Slovenian Government in October. In parallel, the Ministry of Transport is also working on discussions with Germany.
