On Tuesday, the Government declared a 30-day state of crisis due to the fire situation. Spokesperson Marija Miteva stated that the decision had been made on the basis of the session of the Steering Committee on Coordination and Management of the Crisis System.
As she explained, there will be integrated approach and coordinated action by all relevant institutions.
“All resources, including human, technical, and logistical ones, will be mobilised in order for us to deal with the fires and protect the population”, Miteva noted.
At 7 pm, the Crisis Management Centre said there were 11 active outdoor fires in the country, including the wildfires in Cucer-Sandevo (between Cucer and Blace villages), as well as in Besiste and Nikolic villages.
