In order to deal with reckless driving and severe traffic offenses, the government is thinking about introducing the possibility of vehicles being confiscated as of 1 January, according to Interior Minister Pance Toskovski.
Regarding the process to put the Safe City system into use and distinguish penalization in traffic, Toskovski said on Saturday that a procedure to change several laws had been started.
“Though there’s been progress, I am still not satisfied with the factual situation regarding traffic in Macedonia. So, I expect these changes to produce visible results”, the Minister stressed.
Toskovski made those comments at a press-conference on the first year of his term, where he again said there had to be accountability for the Kocani fire. The Minister also talked about the fight against organized criminal groups, corruption, drug trafficking, and other areas.
