For now, the government is without a clear answer to the SDSM Venko Filipce’s initiative for a closed session of Parliament where the issue of EU integration and what the majority’s intentions are to unblock the process would be considered.
“Venko Filipce, too, must say something. OK, there, we will analyse his proposal and soon present a position on it,” PM Hristijan Mickoski said on Friday.
An hour after the PM’s comments, DUI leader Ali Ahmeti voiced a stand, revealing as he said, five priorities, with EU integration, without delay, being the first.
The other, as he added, are: vetting of all politicians, judges, prosecutors, and public office holders, under international monitoring, control of assets of all public office holders concerning the period since independence, an investigation into the privatisation and transition process in the 1990s, and respecting the ethnic legitimacy of the electoral process and interethnic character of institutions in accordance with the will of voters and communities.
