Greek Diplomat Rokas is New EU Ambassador in Skopje

The Greek diplomat Michalis Rokas officially assumed the office of EU Ambassador in Skopje, succeeding David Geer on this position.

Previously, Rokas was EU Ambassador to Malaysia. Rokas was born in Athens in 1964, and started working for the General Directorate for Foreign Affairs of the European Commission in 1994. His previous posts as EU Ambassador include those in New Zealand and Hong Kong. He holds a master’s degree in European economy, and can speak English, French and German.
