In the case concerning the illegal marijuana plantation cultivated by two individuals from Novo Selo Municipality, Z.M. (34) and A.T.G. (30), in the area known as Matnik, both individuals have confessed to the crime before a public prosecutor and been issued house arrest measures.
“In an official interview, they admitted that, having secured cannabis plant seeds, they had cultivated the soil and set up an illegal plantation where, in May 2026, they had planted the seeds and grown the plants with the aim of producing marijuana. Several stalks of varying heights with a total weight of around 680 kilograms were seized from the suspects”, Strumica Internal Affairs Sector Spokesperson Aleksandra Trajanova said on Wednesday.
