Independence Day Celebration: Office Still Analyzing Whether to Open Case

The Prosecutor General’s Office is still analyzing whether to open a case regarding the funding and organization of the Independence Day celebration.

Prosecutor General Saveski said on Wednesday that regardless of the fact that the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) was also examining a possible conflict of interest with regard to the organization, if grounds for criminal prosecution were established, the Office would act.

According to reports, the case before the SCPC pertains to Nikolche Micevski, who was part of the committee evaluating the bid for the program and subsequently participated in the program itself as a performer.
