Information on Potential Measures over Prices to Be Presented after Holidays

It will be known after the Orthodox Easter holidays whether there will be new measures against price increases, such as a reduction in VAT and limiting profit margins of traders, i.e. that will be revealed once the report from market inspectors is reviewed at the Government session’s on Tuesday.

Based on that analysis, it will be known if there is a difference in the prices of basic food products at the begging of April and those in February.

PM Mickoski expects a decision to be made at the next session of the ERC that would see a reduction in the price of diesel and gas by 2.5 and 1.5 denars, respectively. However, SDSM said due to the Government’s measures, citizens had been left with empty fridges on Orthodox Easter.
