The Food and Veterinary Agency’s inspection services have carried out 70 extraordinary inspections of food operators in the Gostivar region. No violations related to water use were established. However, a series of other irregularities were registered.
Five operators failed to implement the mandatory disinfection, disinsectization, and deratization measures, while 18 operators were found to have oversights in the mandatory health checks of their employees. Additionally, 11 legal entities were operating without being registered as food operators with the Agency.
Inspectors also discovered two operators who placed unsafe food on the market. 18 kilograms of products were seized and destroyed, including yogurt, sliced salami, and butter.
