Interior Minister Toskovski again Comments on Grubi Case

During Thursday’s Q&A session of Parliament, Interior Minister Pance Toskovski said it was being investigated whether B.J., the police officer who’d allowed ex-Deputy PM Artan Grubi to exit the country, had been part of an organised escape or responsible for an unintentional mistake.

According to Toskovski, mobile phones and material evidence have been secured in that regard. As he pointed out, the officer was disturbed and excited by the vehicle’s luxury and Grubi’s political grandeur, instead of following procedure.

“When the officer ascertained what he’d done, the person had already been on Kosovo’s territory. Footage from the 24-hour camera at the border has been secured”, the Minister stressed, adding that that was undisputed evidence.

As Toskovski also underlined, though it’s true the bodycams don’t work, a fair share of them haven’t worked for three-four years, which is the reason for the punishment against the head who hadn’t ensured a proper video recording system.
