Interior Minister Vows Swift Justice after Chair Killing

Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski said police are working intensively to solve the murder of a 26yearold man shot by two attackers on a motorcycle in Skopje’s Chair late Sunday. He confirmed that MVR has initial information and evidence on the perpetrators, noting that one is already serving a prison sentence.

Toshkovski stressed the case is not linked to organized gang clashes but urged patience as the investigation unfolds. He acknowledged ongoing problems with the penitentiary system yet insisted violent crime has dropped sharply compared to past years. Sending a warning to those who “think they are untouchable”, he pledged they will face justice.

Marking 35 years of independence, Toshkovski called statehood the most positive achievement, while describing the forced change of the constitutional name as the darkest chapter.
