Israel-Iran situation: Assistance Requested by 22 Citizens to Return to North Macedonia so far

“So far, 22 persons have requested assistance from Macedonian organs to leave Israel’s territory and return to North Macedonia”, the country’s Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.

It’s about citizens of North Macedonia and members of their immediate families. Activities are underway to evacuate and transfer them to a safe location soon, from where their return to the country will be additionally organized.

The Ministry added that it was constantly communicating with citizens of North Macedonia and that there was active work to provide all necessary conditions for a safe return.

Previously, the institution had called on all citizens of North Macedonia located in Israel or Iran to call the Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Ministry’s SOS number. Also, it appealed for all other citizens to refrain from travel to Middle East countries due to the deterioration of the situation.
