An expert finding an opinion of a psychologist and a psychiatrist was presented by the Prosecutor’s Office at the hearing in the trial over the Ivana and Katja case on Wednesday.
The psychological condition of Ivana was a direct result of the abuse by the suspect, i.e., now-widower Stojanche Jovanovski, according to the documents.
The Prosecutor’s Office also presented a video from Stojanche’s phone recording Ivana right after he’d reported her for domestic violence, while she, while crying, asks him why he hit her. Ivana tells him that she, too, will also report him for domestic violence and not to run away.
Attorney Neda Chalovska, who represents Ivana’s family, says the recordings are also proof of the inaction by police, who could have done more. Jovanovski is expected to testify at the next hearing, scheduled for Friday.
