The hearing in the trial over the Ivana and Katja case continued on Thursday.
Neighbors, too, witnessed the domestic violence that had been occurring for two whole years in the home of Ivana and the suspect, the now-widower Stojanche Jovanovski. One of them testified that she had called the police twice, but they could not determine which apartment the calls for help had been coming from.
“When the police came the second time, the police officer was not fair”, she said, adding that he’d threatened her she would be held accountable for false reporting.
Ivana’s brother testified as well, saying his late sister had been very afraid of Jovanovski, who had threatened to take Katja and the apartment they’d lived in.
