Judicial Council Adopts Reports on Courts’ Work and Elects Court Heads

In the second quarter of the year, a big number of basic courts were inefficient. On Monday, the Judicial Council adopted reports on their work.

In the appeals area of Stip, basic courts in Vinica, Strumica, and Stip were efficient, as opposed to the ones in Delcevo, Kocani, Radovis, and Sveti Nikole. In the appeals area of Bitola, all courts were inefficient except the ones in Ohrid in Resen.

According to the reports, the Skopje Court of Appeals, the Basic Court Skopje, the Gostivar Court of Appeals, and the Kriva Palanka, Veles, Kumanovo, Negotino, and Tetovo Basic Courts were inefficient.

At the session, the Council elected the acting head of the Skopje Court of Appeals, Meri Dika Georgievska, as the institution’s President, giving her a four-year term. There were no other candidates and she was elected unanimously.

Jasmina Siskovska Stojkovic and Tatjana Petrovska are the new heads of the Prilep and Bitola Basic Courts, respectively.
