Judiciary: PM Says There’ll Be Budget but also Accountability for Money

Commenting on the reactions from the judicial power to his stands, PM Mickoski stated that there would be an independent budget, through four laws that would have been passed by New Year’s. However, he emphasized that there would be accountability for every taxpayer denar.

Prosecutor General Kocevski, too, has asked for more funds. In his view, the draft Budget for 2026 does not cover costs for carrying out efficient investigations. He also said there was a lack of staff.

Finance Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska stated that analyses were underway in terms of the percentage of the budget the judiciary would get. Comparison activities are also based on how the matters are regulated in EU countries as well, she explained.
