In a press release on Monday, the Ministry of Justice said it acted exclusively in accordance with the laws and international agreements. Regarding the case of former PM Gruevski, all necessary steps are being taken to complete the documentation and its appropriate processing within the legal procedure, it added.
According to the press release, the gathering of information from relevant courts aims to provide a complete and accurate legal basis for further action. The Ministry pointed out that it didn’t have the competence to re-examine effective court decisions, explaining that its obligation was to act upon them.
Also on Monday, PM Mickoski said the Government’s position regarding the rule of law remained unchanged.
“It applies to everyone who cares about the rule of law, and it will remain so”, the PM noted.
Regarding SDSM’s accusations over the matter, Mickoski said there was a clear legal framework.
