Justice Ministry on Electoral Code and Matters Related to Several Bills

The Justice Ministry has sent a communication to Parliament, parties represented in it, and independent groups and MPs to each nominate two representatives for the Electoral Code working group. Both the Ministry and the legislative house expect work would start in the second half of January.

Filkov’s institution explains that a working version of the Code will be submitted to MPs that, following consultations within their respective parties, should submit proposals to the working group.

When it comes to the Council of Public Prosecutors Bill, the Ministry also expects it to soon be an item at a session of the Government.

In When it comes to the Pardons Bill, the Ministry says it has been posted on ENER. The goal, it adds, is to overcome weaknesses in the implementation of the current legislation and set up a clear, precise, and transparent procedure.
