On Thursday, at an event on presentation of macroeconomic projections, Kanal 5 asked National Bank Governor Slaveski a question about the charge filed against him (over the Vice Governors case).
“Where do you draw the legitimacy to come out today and do this revision of macroeconomic policies in the upcoming period when you have an active criminal charge for which I have information that you have not yet been summoned to the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office to give a statement… that is the first question”, Mirchevski said.
The Governor said his legitimacy rested on the 2025 vote in Parliament. Asked whether and when he planned to resign, Slaveski said: “After seven years”.
