The trial over the 2025 Kochani fire continued on Thursday with cross-examination by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the construction expert witness proposed by Pulse’s owner, defendant Dejan Jovanov.
At previous hearings, the expert had stated, among other things, that the facility had three entrances and three exits, that the roof structure hadn’t been damaged in the massive fire, and that the structural stability of the building hadn’t been compromised.
A number of parents of the victims who lost their lives, who attended today’s hearing, reacted after the hearing’s conclusion. They demanded a review of the scope of the expert evaluations, as well as the professional qualifications and competence of the individuals who provided expert opinions during the proceedings.
