On Wednesday, the item concerning the European Front’s no-confidence motion against Constitutional Court Darko Kostadinovski was removed from Parliament’s agenda.
According to the DUI-led coalition, Kostadinovski hasn’t complied with the Law on Languages and the Law on Constitutional Court, which prohibits judges from voicing an opinion on active cases. However, representatives of the ruling majority stated that the item shouldn’t have even reached the agenda because the judicial power was a separate one.
On the other hand, SDSM’s MPs alleged that VMRO-DPMNE had already set a precedent through its motions against Judicial Council members.
The Court itself has said that, a judge of its could be dismissed by neither the executive power nor the legislative one, according to the Constitution.
