Kurti Says There were Threats against Him during Stay in Skopje

Kosovo’s public broadcaster, RTK, reported that during his stay in Skopje, on Friday and Saturday, there were strict security measures for Kosovan PM Albin Kurti due to information that there would be an assassination attempt.

The Kosovan PM confirmed on Saturday that there had been threats against him during his stay in Skopje coming from individuals and structures that, as he added, had roots in Serbia. However, he said he hadn’t felt endangered. North Macedonia’s Interior Ministry denied the information about the issue.

“During Kosovan Kurti’s visit, there was no assassination attempt. The visit was organised according to rules and security assessments determined in advance,” it said.
