Igor Kuzmanovski, who was dismissed last week following a video showing him mixing a powdery substance in a plate and talking about cocaine, will have to pay a fine of 500-1,000 euros for treating patients without a licence to practice medicine from 15 March, when his licence expired, to 8 August, when he became the Clinic’s head.
State inspectors, on the basis of orders from the Health Ministry, conducted supervision at the Neurology Clinic on Tuesday, when they determined a series of irregularities. The legal entity and the former Director, ex-Health Minister Fatmir Mexhiti, will be fined as well.
Inspectors also checked information on other doctors at the Clinic, but all of them had valid licences. For all determined shortcomings regarding the Clinic’s work, an order to overcome them will be issued.
