Lottery Case: House Arrest Measure Against Grubi May Be Lifted August 22

August 22 is the final deadline for the investigation against former DPM Grubi in the Lottery case. It is possible he will be released from house arrest then if the prosecutor does not file a charge against him, SDK.mk reported.

The Prosecutor’s Office told Telma that the investigation was still ongoing, which was why new details about this case couldn’t be shared. As the Criminal Court explained, if there is no charge, there is a possibility that the house arrest measure against the suspect would be abolished. If that happens, the Court will, ex officio, determine a measure to secure his presence.

“Most often, that is the confiscation of the travel document”, the Court said.

Grubi is suspected of embezzling 8.2 million euros at the State Lottery.
