Dismissed Krste Petkov Misirkov Secondary School Head-teacher Maja Lozanovska picked up on Thursday the decision dismissing her, made by Demir Hisar Mayor Nikola Najdovski, saying she would appeal it.
Also, her attorney, Zare Stevanoski, stated that he would file a request before the Prosecutor’s Office in Bitola for the return of stamps, picked up the previous day by Lozanovska. After she’d picked up them up, she handed them over to police, which were supposed to file them to the Office.
According to Stevanoski, there are no changes at the Central Registry, while, according to the Electoral Code, due to the local elections, all procedures to name and dismiss officials currently are stopped.
“We expect the stamps to be returned for the education process and preparations for the start of the school year to run smoothly”, the attorney stated.
On 6 August, Najdovski dismissed Lozanovska and appointed Jasmina Damcevska as Acting Head-teacher. Lozanovska didn’t receive the decision because she was on sick leave.
After Damcevska hadn’t found the stamps, on Friday, police searched Lozanovska’s home and the School. As a result of his actions during the search activities, Robert Martinoski was dismissed as Demir Hisar Department of Internal Affairs Chief for unprofessional conduct.
After her sick leave ended, Lozanovska went to the police station for a conversation and handed over the stamps to investigative organs on Wednesday.
