March of Angels Held in Skopje

At the March of Angels, held in Skopje, participants said what they wanted was unity for justice and a fair trial over the Kochani fire, not condolences. The march started with participants observing a three minutes’ silence. Afterwards, they called for an oversight debate in Parliament and for the formation of a committee of inquiry tasked with determining institutional oversights.

Regarding the Criminal Court, protesters said they were demanding that it be determined why institutions had failed and who had been the ones that hadn’t reacted even though they had had obligation to prevent the nightclub tragedy.

MPs will have coordination meetings within Parliamentary Groups and then decide whether they will initiate an oversight debate and a committee of inquiry.
