Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Goran Markovski, is joining the race for the position of Mayor of Skopje. Markovski will be a candidate of the civil initiative “Independent Together”.
“Let us join forces all of us, and give the City of Skopje the chance it deserves, for proper development into a modern metropolis serving all its citizens. Let us show together that institutions can function when renown professionals with great experience behind them manage the city and prioritise the interests of the citizens”, they informed from “Independent Together”.
Markovski is the seventh candidate revealed so far in the running for the mayoral position of the capital.
The civil initiative was created by previous initiatives Chance for Centar, Greens for Gazi Baba and Group 389, and they already revealed their candidate for Mayor of Centar to be former President of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, Biljana Ivanovska.
