During a visit to Suto Orizari on Wednesday, VMRO-DPMNE Skopje mayoral candidate Orce Gjorgjievski presented plans for a series of infrastructure and social projects. Among them was one for a new football stadium, with stands, dressing rooms, lighting, and accompanying infrastructure to be used for sports activities of youth, as well as for regional and regional matches.
Gjorgjievski also said the Suto Orizari sports centre would be fully reconstructed, as well as that a culture home named after late singer Esma Redzepova would be built.
SDSM’s candidate, Kaja Sukova, the same day, presented plans for, as she said, an open and technologically-advanced Skopje through an initiative headlined “Skopje without Paper, a Digital City for All”.
In Centar, SDSM’s candidate, Goran Gerasimovski, who’s running for a second term, stated that intensive investments in new and modern children’s and sports playgrounds would continue.
In Aerodrom, SDSM Council seat candidate Marjan Jovanovski stated that VMRO-DPMNE had failed to implement any projects in that Municipality since 2021.
“Instead of new kindergartens, schools, and parking lots, we’ve received empty promises, and unsolved problems”, he stated, adding that Aerodrom deserved more and that SDSM would achieve that.
In Cair, too, VLEN candidate Izet Mexhiti and DUI candidate Bujar Osmani continued to present plans they said would make the Municipality a better place.
In Sopiste, VMRO-DPMNE’s candidate, Jane Micevski said that infrastructure, sports, education, safety and solving the issue of untimely bus transport would be areas in which there would be active work.
In Bogdanci and Gevgelija, Levica’s representatives stated that support, primarily from young people, for the party had increased every day because the people were fed up with the 34-year rule of VMRO-DPMNE.
